BITRUPTURE
Deterministic digital corruption — every destructive decision is reproducible.

What it does
Chaos you can recall.
Randomness is a compositional system, not an implementation shortcut. Every destructive decision BITRUPTURE makes — every dropped packet, buffer stutter, frozen spectral band, failing uplink — is a pure function of a visible seed and the host's musical position.
Play bar 17 from the top, from the middle, in a loop, or in an offline bounce, and it corrupts identically. That turns extreme glitch processing from something you have to commit to tape before it escapes into something you can arrange, mix, recall six months later, and hand to a collaborator as a six-character phrase.
Modulation is an offset layer, never a write. Damage, the sequencer lanes and the macros add to what you set rather than moving your controls, so nothing fights host automation or the undo history.
Key features
DECODE — reconstruction failure
Wrong interpolation kernel, wrong clock, insufficient resolution.
PACKET — transmission loss
A Gilbert–Elliott burst chain driving real packet-loss concealment.
SPECTRA — codec collapse
A drawable 128 × 32 Damage Map over a windowed overlap-add STFT.
BUFFER — a sampler mis-reading itself
Repeats, reversals, skips and tape-stops, on the grid.
UPLINK — a cheap, congested link
Restricted bandwidth, companding, residue and instability.
MOTION — the performance layer
Four lanes of sixteen steps plus four macros, all seekable — so the sequencer obeys the transport rather than free-running against it.

Controls
Performance
- DAMAGE
- How hard.
- DENSITY
- How often.
- MUTATION
- How far it may deviate.
- Seed
- Visible, and the whole basis of reproducibility. Six characters.
- Personality
- Eight behavioural presets that shape probability distributions rather than overwriting your patch.
Arrangement
- MOTION lanes
- Four lanes × sixteen steps, seekable with the transport.
- Macros
- Four, layered as offsets over your settings.
- Scenes
- Eight, with CAPTURE.
- Parameter locks
- Hold a control while SMART RANDOMIZE moves everything else.

Worth knowing
- No mode, preset or claim in this product reproduces or emulates any specific proprietary codec. μ-law companding is a published ITU standard and is implemented honestly; everything else is original.
